Learn Raag Tilang

• It is in Khamaj Thaat and it is a late evening raag.
• Note that it has the Shuddha N in the Aaroha and the komal n in the Avaroha. All other notes in the raag are Shuddha notes as well.
• Learn and practice the Aaroha, Avaroha and Pakad.

• Learn and practice the song Bhaja Govindam Bhaja Govindam, after printing it and adding it to your binder.
• Caution: The song in the recording is sung with the lower S starting one white key to the left of what we normally start with. i.e. the S starts on the 5th white key from the left instead of our usual 6th white key, on the virtual piano. Accordingly, all other notes of the raag will be appropriately displaced on the keyboard - something you will have to figure out by carefully hearing the sound of each note you play on the keyboard and checking if it sounds like Raag Tilang.

Learn "Shankara Bandara Bole" in Raag Shankara

• Before learning this new song, practice the entire section on this raag from Lesson 17.
• Learn and practice the song Shankara Bandara Bole, after printing it and adding it to your binder.

Review raags (Aaroha, Avaroha and Pakad) and songs learnt earlier & learn a short bhajan

Pancham Shruthi

• Sing the song, Hey Prabhu Thum Sab Antaryami, from Lesson 5.
• Raag Yaman Kalyan, the Thakita Thaka Dhimi or 1-2-3-1-2-1-2 taal and the song Sree Rama Chandra, from Lesson 15.
  Caution: The lower S starts on the 8th white key from the left on the virtual keyboard in this song recording.

Madhyam Shruthi

• Sing the short bhajan, Ananda Sagara Muralidhara, from Lesson 18.
• Is the note right? This is a game where you play several sets of notes from a particular raag and at times deliberately play an invalid note. In this lesson, we play this game in Raag Malkauns.
• Sing the song, Mai Gulam, from Lesson 13 and listen to its on-stage rendition in Lesson 14.
  Caution: In the on-stage rendition of the song, the lower S starts on the 5th black key from the left on the virtual keyboard.
